Afghanistan

Afghanistan first issued stamps under the name of the Kingdom of Kabul in 1871. The first issues of the Kingdom of Afghanistan were in 1891. In 1973 Afghanistan became a republic and went through some internal shuffling and today it is a transitional Islamic State.
